These shots were all taken on the one vacation day when I was in this area. Fortunately, I had decent conditions.

I don't usually shoot such an extremely light colored subject and guessed at the compensation needed. The results suggest that I was a little conservative. If I ever get the chance to shoot this monument again, I will use a compensation of approximately +1.3 to +2.0 for most subjects.

My resupply of film had not yet arrived so I only had one roll of Velvia left for this day. The other two rolls that I shot were Astia. (I carried a limited amount of film with me through airport security and the balance was shipped bypassing airport X-ray machines.)
