These pictures were taken June 4, 2006 in Ocean County, New Jersey.

Credit goes to my good friend Bob Moyer for spotting this snake.

The snake's skin that had just been shed measured 40 inches so this individual would be about 44-45 inches overall.

We certainly did not handle or disturb this individual more than just hanging around for a little while to take some pictures. No one should be messing with potentially dangerous animals such as this without professional training. (The close-up pictures were taken with a l-o-n-g lens.)
